Para alegria de nós fãs, a banda Train está confirmada para o Pop Music Festival, criado pela Shakira para a América Latina. Outra atração confirmada é Ziggy Marley, filho de Bob Marley. A cantora e seus convidados desembarcam no Brasil em março, para shows em Brasília, Porto Alegre e São Paulo. Em São Paulo o evento acontece no dia 19/03/2011.

To the delight of us fans, the band Train is confirmed to the Pop Music Festival, created by Shakira for Latin America. Another attraction is Ziggy Marley, son of Bob Marley. The singer and her guests disembark in Brazil in March, for concerts in Brasilia, Porto Alegre and Sao Paulo. In Sao Paulo, the event takes place on 19/03/2011.

Howard Stern

Os caras de Train, pararam para promover seu novo single, "Marry Me", e agradeceram a  Howard Stern por apoiá-los antes de renovarem com o sucesso de "Hey Soul Sister". Howard perguntou a Pat e Jimmy, se eles eram membros oficiais da banda, mas naquele momento eles não tinham certeza do que dizer. Continuando na brincadeira, pensaram:  "Será que estamos autorizados a falar?" Um deles deu de ombros: "Eu sinto que nós tocamos muito juntos e eu já sou uma parte de Train". Jimmy riu e disse sarcasticamente: "Mas você não está" - referindo-se a Howard.

Pat disse a Howard que a banda estava perto de quebrar-se antes de "Hey Soul Sister".  "Acho que estávamos muito perto de sermos descartados". Pat disse também que o problema era pessoal: "Era mais como, eu não sei se eu pertenço mais a isso". Os fãs de Train agradecem o recomeço.

Howard asked to Pat and Jimmy, if they were official members of the band, but in that moment, they were not sure what to say. Continuing the joke, they thought: "Are we allowed to talk?" One of them shrugged, "I feel we played a lot together and I am part of the Train". Jimmy laughed and said sarcastically: "But you're not" - referring to Howard.

Pat said to Howard that the band was close to breaking up before "Hey Soul Sister. " "I think we were very close to being discarded. " Pat also said that the problem was personal: "It was more like, I don´t know if I belong here in anymore". The fans thanks the restart.

O Sucesso / The Sucess

Esta semana tivemos a notícia de que “Hey Soul Sister”, foi considerada a música mais tocada na Austrália e na Irlanda neste ano de 2010 e “Shake Up Christmas”, a música sobre a data comemorativa mais requisitada no iTunes, na Alemanha e nos Países Baixos. Até o presente momento já é a segunda música mais requisitada no iTunes, em Portugal, Dinamarca e Grécia. Merecido tal reconhecimento, não acham?

This week we had the news that "Hey Soul Sister," was considered the most played song in Australia and Ireland in 2010 and "Shake Up Christmas," a song about the commemorative date, is the most requested song on iTunes, in Germany and Netherland. At the present day, is the second most requested song on iTunes, in Portugal, Denmark and Greece. Deserved such recognition, is not it?

Vinho do mês/ The wine of the month

O Clube do Vinho do Train, escolheu o novo vinho selecionado neste mês de Dezembro: o Kunde Cabernet Sauvignon 2007. O Vinho vindo do Kunde Family State, de Sonoma Valley, na Califórnia (USA), possui um aroma rico de framboesa, incluindo também framboesas pretas, cerejas e mirtilos. Segundo um enólogo do Kunde, Tim Bell, este vinho possui poderosos aromas de especiarias e azeitonas. Os sabores de cerejas, cassis e chocolate escuro, estão presentes numa rica textura advinda de taninos. O vinho foi envelhecido durante 19 meses, em barricas de carvalho frânces, húngaro e americano, e engarrafado em Agosto de 2009.

Segundo informação na entrevista cedida por Jimmy ao  "The New York Times",  o clube do vinho é operado pela Crush Management, que também gerencia o Train, em parceria com K & D Wines and Spirits em Nova York. Crush gerencia  internamente todas as tarefas que vão desde a construção do site até a organização de eventos. Bob McLynn (Crush), disse que  "Não é sobre fazer dinheiro",  porque "nós não estamos fazendo dinheiro com o clube." "O que é realmente", ele acrescenta, "estamos construindo uma cultura" em torno da banda, com "a cultura do vinho."  Train é de uma cidade do vinho-centric, San Francisco, que recebe uma mensagem de saída em "Save Me, São Francisco," o título do álbum da banda, lançado no ano passado, que inclui "Hey, Soul Sister". "Jimmy é realmente envolvido em vinho", disse McLynn, referindo-se a Jimmy Stafford. "Ele bebe todas as noites."  E "a cada show, ele pede uma garrafa de vinho local," diz McLynn.  Após Jimmy ter começado a blogar sobre o seu interesse por vinho no "trainline.com ", "ele tem um monte de comentários", disse McLynn, "e as pessoas começaram a trazer garrafas de vinho para os shows" e dando de presente a ele "no encontra-e-cumprimenta".  Isso se encaixa com o fato de que "o núcleo de fãs de Train", que McLynn descreve como "um homem ou mulher a partir de meados dos 20 anos a meados dos 40" já tem o espírito do vinho, diz ele, acrescentando: "O vinho é, provavelmente, a bebida que os integrantes de Train, bebem antes de saírem para os shows."

The Wine Club - Train, chose the new wine selected in this month of December: Kunde Cabernet Sauvignon 2007. The wine coming from the State Family Kunde, Sonoma Valley, California (USA), has a rich aroma of raspberry, also including black raspberries, cherries and blueberries. According to a winemaker from Kunde, Tim Bell, this wine has powerful aromas of spices and olives. The flavors of cherries, cassis and dark chocolate are present in a rich texture originated from tannins. The wine was aged for 19 months in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels, and bottled in August 2009.

According to information in the interview given by Jimmy "The New York Times, the Wine Club is operated by Crush Management, which also manages the Train, in partnership with K & D Wines and Spirits in New York.
Crush internally manages all tasks ranging from construction site to organizing events. Bob McLynn (Crush), said "It's not about making money," because "we're not making money with the club." "What is really," he adds, "we are building a cult" around the band with "the cult of wine." Train is one of the central city of wine, San Francisco, which receives a message in "Save Me, San Francisco," the title of the album, released last year, including "Hey, Soul Sister." Jimmy is really involved in wine, McLynn said, referring to Jimmy Stafford. "He drinks every night." And "every show, he orders a bottle of local wine," McLynn says. After Jimmy has started blogging about his interest in wine in the "trainline.com," “he has a lot of comments”, McLynn said, and people started bringing bottles of wine for the shows and giving the gift him. This fits with the fact that "the core fans of Train" that McLynn describes as "a man or woman from the mid 20s to mid 40" already has the spirit of wine, he says, adding that wine is probably the drink that members of Train, drink before leaving for the shows.

Pat Monahan gravou em Honolulu, uma mensagem de voz muito carinhosa, na qual agradece juntamente com os demais da banda, aos fãs e todos envolvidos pelo carinho e ajuda de sempre, pela nomeação da indicação ao Grammy.

Pat, lembrou também dois nomes importantes da Crush Management, Jonathan Daniel e Bob McLynn. Agradece por tudo que a Crush fez por eles até hoje. A Crush Management é uma compania que administra várias bandas musicais.

Shake Up Christmas - Official Video - Coca-Cola

"Shake Up Christmas" é a música da nova campanha publicitária de Natal, da Coca-Cola. Nos últimos anos, a Coca-Cola tem caracterizado pessoas e animais, como ursos polares (1993), tornando-os ícones para os telecspectadores.

Pat Monahan disse à "Reuters" que a nova canção é menos sobre comércio e mais sobre o desejo de evocar a alegria do Natal, durante os tempos difíceis que estamos vivendo.

Disse também que "É uma honra saber que, de alguma forma, a nossa música está afetando as pessoas de uma maneira positiva", referindo-se também ao hit "Hey Soul Sister".

Acrescentou ainda que: "Eu penso que o que eu fiz com "Shake Up Christmas" é como eu posso ajudar", referindo-se neste momento, no que pôde fazer para tentar espalhar alguma felicidade.

A sensibilidade de Train... nos encanta... a todo momento...

The song, “Shake Up Christmas,” is the new music of Christmas advertising campaign by Coca-Cola.  In past years the Coca-Cola has featured people or animals, such as the polar bears (1993), which became iconic of TV viewers.

The singer Pat Monahan, told "Reuters" that the new song is less about commerce and more about wanting to conjure Christmas joy during tough times we alive. 

Monahan said too: “It’s really an honor to know that, somehow, our music is affecting people in a positive way" – referring also to the hit "Hey Soul Sister."

He added: “I think of what I did with ‘Shake Up Christmas’ as a ‘how can I help’” spread some happiness.

The sensibility of Train, charms us all the time.

No evento de ontem, em Los Angeles, para as indicações ao Grammy Awards 2011, Train foi indicado na categoria "Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with vocals", com a música "Hey Soul Sister". Na mesma categoria, estão concorrendo os seguintes grupos:

Grammy 2011

           

O Grammy Awards é uma cerimônia anual, no qual, músicos do mundo todo sonham em buscar a premiação. Neste ano de 2011, chegamos a 53ª edição do Grammy Awards. A lista de indicados, será apresentada hoje, 01/12/2010, no Teatro Nokia, em Los Angeles (Califórnia). O evento contará com diversas apresentações musicais. Para os fãs do Brasil, o Grammy será televisionado pela TNT Brasil, com início nesta quinta-feira (02/12), à 01h (horário de Brasília). Lembrando sempre que Train é pré-indicado ao prêmio. A premiação com entrega dos Grammy, ocorrerá dia 13/02/2011, em Los Angeles. Lembramos que o horário a ser televisionado no Brasil, poderá sofrer alterações, portanto, avisaremos se o mesmo tiver mudanças.
